Connect Airtable, Google Sheets, a SQL database, a CSV or a REST API, map each field to a placeholder, and generate. One run can produce a single document or one per matching record.

A pitch deck is mostly argument and partly arithmetic, and the arithmetic is what embarrasses you. Numbers on the traction slide age from the day they are typed, and the deck sent on Friday rarely matches the one shown on Tuesday. Google Slides is the right home for it because the deck is a designed object with a fixed order and fixed layout — you want the figures to change between runs and nothing else to.

Automate the slides that go stale, not the story

Mark only the volatile parts as placeholders: ARR, growth rate, customer count, logo wall, headcount, the ask. Leave the problem, solution and market slides as written copy, because those are yours to argue and they do not change weekly. Then point the deck at the same table your board pack and investor update read from, so the three cannot contradict each other. A scheduled run means the current deck is always the one on file, and the only question before a meeting is whether the story still holds.

Common questions, answered

Can I use my own pitch deck design? +
Yes, and you should. Build the deck in Google Slides the way you want it seen, mark only the parts that change — metrics, customer logos, team tiles, the ask — as placeholders, and generate against that master. The narrative and design stay yours; the numbers stop being typed in.
Isn't a pitch deck too bespoke to automate? +
The story is, and we do not try to write it. What automation is good for is the half-dozen slides that go stale between meetings: ARR, growth, customer count, logo wall, headcount. Those come from your data on every run, so an old figure never survives into a deck you are about to present.
Where do the traction numbers come from? +
From wherever you already keep them — a SQL database, Airtable, Google Sheets, a CSV export or your own system through a REST data source. The deck reads the latest row rather than calculating anything, which keeps one source of truth between the deck, the board pack and the investor update.
Can this generate a deck per company or per investor? +
Yes. If you hold several companies in one table, a run produces a deck each. For a single company, the more common pattern is a schedule: regenerate monthly so the deck on file is always current, and export the PDF you actually send.
