Read the guide

A sales proposal deck is the version of a proposal you talk through rather than email. It is a designed artefact: the story runs in a fixed order, the commercials land on one slide, and the whole thing has to look like your company made it on purpose. Google Slides suits that because the layout is fixed — the deck is the same shape for every deal, and only the content inside it changes.

The fixed length is the discipline

A generated deck cannot swell to fit an unusually complicated deal, and that is a feature. Cap the approach section at a set number of phase slides, cap the case studies at two, and put the ordering rules in your data so the most relevant material is what gets placed. If a deal genuinely needs more detail than the deck holds, generate the Google Docs proposal alongside it from the same record and leave the deck as the thing you present.

Common questions, answered

Can I use our own deck design? +
Yes. Build the master in Google Slides with your layouts, type and colours, mark the prospect, scope and pricing fields as placeholders, and generate against it. Every deck then comes out of the same designed file, which is usually the point — reps stop rebuilding slides and the brand stays intact.
Should this be a deck or a document? +
A deck if you present it and a document if you send it to be read alone. Slides give you a fixed designed layout where nothing moves; a Google Docs proposal lets the scope and pricing sections run to whatever length they need. Plenty of teams generate both from the same record.
How do the right case studies end up in the right deck? +
By filtering. Case studies live in their own table with a sector or service tag, and the loop places only the ones matching the prospect's record. That is the slide reps most often get wrong when they build a deck by hand from an older one.
Where does the deck's content come from? +
From the opportunity record — Airtable, Google Sheets, a SQL database, a CSV upload or your CRM through a REST data source. Discovery notes and the commercial figures are fields, so the deck says what your pipeline says rather than what last quarter's deck said.
